The Informed Voter
WHY ARE WE HERE?
Britain is run by its people. After all, this is a democracy, so that must be true. We all troop off every four or five years and vote for an MP, and after they have all been elected, a government is formed. Hey presto! Democracy at work.
So if that is true, then each person in Britain has the responsibility to know why they are casting their vote in a particular way. It can't be good enough to go into the voting booth and put a tick next to an unknown name because they represent the party 'our family have always voted for'.
No, with rights come responsibilities. And it is the responsibility of every adult British person to know who they are voting for and why.
So, where do we go to find out this information? The newspapers? Ok, if you have all stopped laughing. The telly? I'll stop now. The internet? Well, yes and no. There is good information on the internet, but a lot of it is partisan or tainted by a sponsor with an agenda.
That's where this website comes in. It is completely independent, run by enthusiastic patriots, and has no agenda other than to provide one hundred percent accurate information to the voter, so that we can make informed decisions about how we run this country.
